Pastor Paul Fontanez is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Nea Zoe Church. While growing up in Long Island, New York, he found himself heading down a dangerous path. Unbeknownst to him, because of his very determined and passionate mother, Elba Rosario, who dared to fast for a whole week, Pastor Paul answered God's call to serve at the age of 19. Pastor Paul has committed his entire life to serve God and has been fulfilling his purpose ever since.
While studying for his Bachelors in Nursing at New York University, Pastor Paul met his best friend and now wife, Brenda Fontanez. Together they served in ministry in both Long Island and the Bronx, New York. In 2008 Pastor Paul and Brenda moved to Connecticut and soon after began a new work, New Life Church of Connecticut, now better known as Nea Zoe Church. Within several months they moved the church into its own location.
Pastor Paul holds an Associates in Liberal Arts, a Bachelors in Nursing, a Masters in Business Administration, and is currently working on his Masters of Divinity from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is the Senior Pastor of Nea Zoe Church and Mill Plain Union Church.
With a vision to spread the gospel and share the love of Jesus Christ, Pastor Paul began the Nea Zoe Ministerial Association (NZMA), a Pastoral training program designed to equip Pastors for the future of the church. NZMA’s goal is to help plant future churches wherever God calls.
